The local Winter realestatemarket is showing no signs of slowing down with the cooler weather, with low stock levels and high buyer demand, prices are holding firm. We normally run 10-15 open homes every weekend but at the moment with low stock levels we are only running 4-5 open homes. Buyer numbers are still good through these opens resulting in multiple offers on properties and sellers receiving offers above their expectations. It is definitely a sellers market at the moment.
With the Federal election on Saturday, speculation about the future of negative gearing and the traditional glut of property that hits the market in Spring, present times may prove to be peak selling conditions.
