What happened to the Markets in December?

By Jessica Ridder

Market Review

Blackheath is a small community with a big heart and a lot to offer. A beautiful heritage listed National Park on your door step, vibrant cafes, boutique shops, art galleries and breathtaking vistas all within a convenient 2hrs of Sydney’s CBD.

The property market has something to offer everyone, all budgets and styles are catered for from a quaint cottage to an architect designed masterpiece.

With the house prices in Sydney soaring out of the reach of most people, more and more Sydneysiders are looking to make the tree change as an affordable lifestyle alternative. With 35% of the Blackheath age demographic in the 40-59 age bracket, the Mountain’s has proved popular with baby boomers looking to cash up in retirement. The second largest age demographic is the 30- 39 year olds, where we are seeing increasing numbers of young families making the move to the area looking for an affordable first home and lifestyle.

With this in mind, If you are looking to sell your home in the new year it could be worth taking the time to ‘style up’ your home to appeal to the Sydney migrators and maximise your return. If you would like some advice in how to prepare your home for sale please call our office on 02 4787 8797 and talk to one of our property professionals.
